New Pantheon
New Pantheon is the name of my live group which used to be called the Jascha Ephraim Memorial Library. It currently consists of a string quartet with singing by me and Jessy Brown. We’ve played at alley parties and state parks and are available to play anywhere interesting.
The first version of this group performed at the Knockout in San Francisco on December 30th 2006. There was a trombone, clarinet, violin, drums, guitar, bass, me playing keyboard and singing, two more singers, an octogenarian who would talk to me between songs, and KROB on stage with us taking video of the audience. We were all attached to each other and a hanging blinky cocoon by thick grey tendrils. I was eight feet tall with a long gray gown.

After that I changed the instrumentation a few more times, eventually becoming the huge group featured in A Living Olympus. That group consisted of a cello, viola, two violins, sousaphone, trombone, two trumpets, a drum set, two singers, and at one point we had a freaking harp.
